To make Rava Laddu, semolina is dry-roasted in ghee until it turns golden brown and emits a nutty aroma. Then, sugar, cardamom powder, and roasted nuts such as cashews and almonds are added to the roasted semolina mixture. This mixture is combined well until everything is evenly distributed.
Next, the mixture is allowed to cool slightly. Once cooled, it is shaped into small round balls or laddus by rolling portions of the mixture between greased palms. The warmth of the hands helps in shaping the mixture into compact, spherical laddus.
Rava Laddu is loved for its rich flavor, crunchy texture from the roasted semolina, and the sweetness from the sugar. The addition of cardamom and nuts enhances the taste, making it a delightful treat for both adults and children.
